Privacy Act Compliance
Kingswood Investigations complies with Division 3 Part III of the Privacy Act 1988.policies

Kingswood Investigations ensures that all management and staff comply with Section 14 of the Privacy Act 1988 which concerns the collection of, access to, storage, use and disclosure of any personal information.

Kingswood Investigations ensures that all its management and staff complies with the 11 Information Privacy Principals of the Privacy Act 1988.

In accordance with Kingswood Investigations’ commitment to compliance with the Privacy Act we have developed a Privacy Statement; copies of which are available for anyone upon request.

Kingswood Investigations is fully conversant with and adherent to the requirements of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (SA) with respect to confidentiality as stipulated in Section 112 of that Act.

Kingswood Investigations understand and undertakes to provide information as required by Section 107B of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act.

Confidentiality
Any information obtained during the course of our investigations is not discussed with a third party not directly related to the particular investigation. The details of such instruction or documentation is not divulged without the prior knowledge or written approval of our client.

Data FilesInformation Collection
As an investigation firm our core business is the collection of information. Hence we collect personal information in the normal course of our business, which is necessary for one or more of our functions or activities.

The collection of personal information in the course of our normal operations is done by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.

 

Your Contact Information
You may be requested (or required by law) to provide a statement regarding a matter that we have been instructed to investigate. Naturally we would require ‘personal information’ from you to identify whom the statement was obtained from.

We will not disclose personal information supplied by you to anyone other than our instructing party without your consent, or unless we are compelled by law to do so. Names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. obtained from you will be collected and only used for the purpose of the stated investigation.
 

Security
Some of the personal information that we collect is electronically stored in our secure database or in a locked vault within our secured and alarmed office premises.

Personal Information is retained in accordance with the National Privacy Principles as well as Commonwealth and State Legislative requirements.
 

Accessing Your Personal Information
Should you wish to change any information that you have supplied to us in the past, or query whether the information has been deleted from our system, please contact our our office on 08 8346 3000.
